Raised in Australia by Chinese immigrant parents, Winona seeks to understand the blood and water bonds between families and individuals, and the intangible forces that bring us together or drive us apart. her heart sings for Asian, queer, and diasporic stories. 

Their recent films look unflinchingly at different facets of family and private life. This Is All You Are, a visceral experiment in memory and rebellion against expectations of Asian youth, is in the festival circuit. Night Walking, in post-production, examines the fears of motherhood and isolation.
